Are you a creative and detail-oriented communications professional? Join the team at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC), where you’ll play a vital role in crafting engaging content, strengthening internal communications, and supporting media activity for one of Queensland’s most iconic event venues.
We’re seeking a motivated Communications Officer to join our dynamic team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE:
Develop consistent and engaging messaging across the business
Manage the internal news page and coordinate internal newsletters
Create and maintain visual and written content for internal platforms
Oversee image and video libraries to ensure accuracy and consistency
Coordinate content distribution across all GCCEC communication channels
Draft media releases updating external audiences about news at GCCEC
Report on the performance of communication activities
Support the broader marketing team in delivering strategic initiatives
Uphold brand standards across all content and platforms
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS ROLE WILL HAVE:
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or related field, or 3–5 years’ experience in a marketing team
Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and an eye for visual design
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience using CMS and CRM tools
Knowledge of current marketing and communication trends
Experience with Adobe InDesign and/or other design tools
Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently
Previous experience in events or hospitality
