Job Title: Marketing and Communications Officer
Responsible to: Fundraising and Grants Development Officer
Location: Wigan and Leigh Carers Centre (WLCC), 3-5 Frederick Street, Hindley, Wigan WN2 3BD and the Borough of Wigan
Contract: Part time-21 hours per week to be worked flexibly to meet the needs of the charity
Salary: £25,844.00 per annum pro rata

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing and Communications Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing and communication strategies to enhance the visibility and engagement of Wigan and Leigh Carers Centre (WLCC). This role involves leveraging digital media and website analytics to monitor visitor engagement, track traffic growth, and measure social media engagement rates. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with various departments, including fundraising, volunteers, activities & events, and adult/young carers support teams. Your role will ensure that WLCC communicates effectively with its carers, staff, stakeholders, and the public. Responsibilities include creating influential and informative communications and PR content across all platforms. You will also research, write, and distribute press releases and other forms of communication to their intended audiences.
