Description
Organization Summary  CMHA-Edmonton is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that all people experience good mental health and well-being. We increase awareness and understanding of mental health, mental illness, recovery, and suicide prevention through education. We support the resilience and recovery of people in distress including those affected by mental illness or suicide by providing crisis intervention; safe, long-term and affordable housing; peer support; suicide grief and family support; information and referral support; and providing opportunities to improve your wellness.  Team Lead, Projects Marketing & Communications Department Do you love a good timeline? Does colour-coding a project plan spark joy? Can you herd creative cats with confidence and a smile? If so, we may have just the role for you.   The Role (a.k.a. Chief Keeper of All the Things) Reporting to the manager, marketing and communications, the Team Lead, Projects is the steady hand behind the scenes making sure our ideas turn into beautifully executed campaigns—on time, on brand, and without anyone losing sleep. You’ll be the friendly bridge between Marketing & Communications and our internal teams, ensuring projects move from “great idea!” to “look what we did!” with smooth coordination and just the right amount of gentle persistence. What You’ll Actually Be Doing * Leading communication projects and campaigns from concept to completion (yes, including the spreadsheets). * Planning and executing campaigns with precision and purpose. * Creating and managing critical paths—because deadlines are real and we respect them. * Overseeing the production of collateral (annual reports, brochures, mailouts, and the like) while collaborating with designers, printers, and internal clients. * Acting as the go-to liaison between Marcomm team members and internal clients (translator of “marketing speak” included). * Keeping timelines on track and stakeholders calmly informed. * Managing swag production and inventory (because branded pens do not order themselves). * Writing and editing content across various platforms with clarity and polish. * Ensuring every project aligns with CMHA YEG’s brand standards—consistent, professional, and mission-driven. * Supporting fund development campaigns under the guidance of the Sr. Manager Fund Development, helping to create meaningful and impactful donor experiences. * Leading Mental Health Week—an organization-wide initiative that’s meaningful, visible, and impactful. Who You Are * You bring 3–5 years of communications experience, ideally within non-profit, public sector, or social impact environments. * You’re proficient in Microsoft 365, Canva, and SharePoint—and you’re not afraid of a shared drive. * You possess strong project management and organizational skills. Juggling multiple priorities is a strength, not a stressor. * You can work with a wide range of personalities using tact, professionalism, and a healthy sprinkle of grace. * You have experience mapping out and managing complex project timelines. * You genuinely care about the mental health sector and the impact of our work. Working Conditions * Full-time, in-office role, with occasional local travel for events. * Some evening or weekend work during event seasons—because great events don’t always happen 9–5. Skills & Attributes That Will Make You Shine * Independent and self-directed, with a strong sense of ownership. * Patient and persistent (you understand that “just circling back” is sometimes an art form). * Quick to assess projects, identify needs, and move into action. If you’re equal parts strategist, organizer, communicator, and calm-in-the-chaos professional—and you’d like your work to contribute to meaningful impact—we’d love to meet you. Bring your project plans. We’ll bring the mission. Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
