Description

Overview:
The successful candidate will be a collaborative member of the company’s communications team, responsible for developing, implementing and managing strategic external and internal communications programs, to include support of site tours, media creation, public relations and trade shows.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage calendar, agendas, security, logistics and other details necessary for successful site visits for both Groton shipyard and Quonset Point facility. Support visits in-person as needed to greet visitors, organize presentations, support security, catering, transportation and communications.
  • Maintain company’s Model Room. Ensure displays are engaging, effective and aligned with enterprise needs. Manage company overview presentation to a wide variety of audiences including prospective and new employees, elected officials and staff, customers, suppliers, local community members and media.
  • Support planning and execution of events, including VIP visits, ship christenings, keel layings, employee recognitions and others.
  • Build and execute external and internal communications campaigns. Work with stakeholders on identifying goals and key messages. Create editorial calendars and schedules. Create and publish content. Analyze metrics and best practices to continuously improve presence.
  • Participate as a member of the Public Affairs Team in the Emergency Control Center for emergency response situations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
