Summary The Communications team at CES is a highly collaborative group that is passionate about advising, engaging, and inspiring employees to deliver on our business strategies and goals. The team works with internal stakeholders to develop and execute the internal communications strategy, deliver projects, and build and maintain important relationships. The Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the delivery of internal and executive communications to enhance employee understanding and engagement of our values and business strategies, improve employee experience and productivity, and drive practical solutions. This role reports to the Communications Manager. The ideal candidate has strong writing, relational, organizational, and project management skills. Essential Job Functions · Administer content management systems and channels including email, intranet, presentations, newsletters, and digital signage to effectively share communications to their intended audience. · Develop and manage editorial calendar for all internal communications channels. · Research, draft, and publish engaging, clear, and culture-appropriate content for internal audiences. · Develop internal relationships to proactively communicate internal messaging and positive internal perceptions. · Partner with internal groups on planning and execution of employee messaging and understand the strategy behind each communication, balancing what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it. · Understand complex business issues and translate them into accessible language. · Work with speed, discretion, creativity, and responsiveness to stakeholder needs. · Assist in data collection and streamlining initiatives. · Assist in developing special initiatives and projects. · Create/revise PowerPoint presentations as needed. · Manage the North American master directory and organizational charts on a monthly basis. · Contribute ideas for how to be a more effective team. Qualifications Education/Experience · One to two years’ previous experience preferred · College degree or equivalent education preferred · Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Competencies · Excellent written and spoken communication skills · Superior time management skills · High level of attention to detail · Self motivated with a positive and flexible attitude · Ability to remain composed under pressure · A team-player who can establish positive relationships and work effectively and collaboratively with individuals across the organization and at all levels · Ability to work overtime as necessary (crisis and time sensitive related communications) Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
