ABOUT THE POSITION
External Relations is currently seeking a dynamic and result-driven individual to join our team as a permanent, full-time Communications Specialist (Engagement).
The Communications Specialist (Engagement) supports the development and implementation of SkilledTradesBC’s communications and engagement plans, projects and initiatives, with a focus on stakeholder relations.
With an understanding the organization’s strategic priorities and operating environment, the Specialist provides communications and engagement services to enable organizational performance, support exceptional customer service, enhance the organization’s reputation with partners and stakeholders, promote the value of skilled trades and apprenticeships and maintain public trust.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

SkilledTradesBC is a crown agency that is responsible for leading and coordinating the skilled trades training and credentialing system for the province. SkilledTradesBC provides strategic leadership, policy support and customer services to help apprentices, employers and industry.
SkilledTradesBC sets program standards, maintains credential records and issues the highly regarded Interprovincial Red Seal and B.C. Certificate of Qualifications (C of Q) credentials.
