COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Communications Specialist for a 5-month role. This position is a hybrid position with occasional onsite meetings at our client’s Toronto office.

COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role supports a maternity leave within a large organization, focusing on risk and technical communication. The Communications Specialist will work closely with the communications team and various stakeholders to develop and lead communication plans for data risk management initiatives.

COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Graphic design
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Ability to synthesize and communicate complex ideas concisely
• Experience in both technical and business contexts

COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience in data management and/or data risk management
• Event planning experience
• Previous experience in banking

• Develop and lead communications plans and supporting collateral for initiatives to impacted stakeholders
• Create clear, simplified messages for a variety of stakeholders, including C-Suite and Board of Directors
• Provide professional communications support, including execution and evaluation of communication initiatives
• Manage media reviews/analysis and news release processes
• Coordinate with business partners and third-party suppliers for content and design changes
• Evaluate effectiveness of projects/plans/programs post-implementation and develop recommendations
