Job Summary: The Community Access Specialist serves as the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance from Healing House, Inc. This role plays a key part in connecting individuals to essential resources and support services while maintaining a welcoming and clean environment at the Recovery Community Center. Additionally, you will facilitate groups and provide follow-up care to former participants, ensuring continuity of care and support. General Accountabilities: 1. Answering Phone Calls:  Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming phone calls, offering information, assistance, and direction as needed. 2. Resource Connection:  Identify and connect individuals with appropriate community and social resources based on their unique needs and circumstances. 3. Group Facilitation:  Facilitate group sessions when needed, fostering a supportive, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants. 4. Aftercare Follow-ups:  Conduct routine follow-up calls with former Healing House participants to assess their well-being, quality of life, and offer ongoing support or resources as necessary. 5. Support for RCC Manager and Community Outreach Manager.  Work closely with the RCC Manager and Community Outreach Manager, providing support and executing tasks as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the center. 6. Target Population:  Support individuals referred from the Healing House program, including both current and former participants, as well as individuals from the Healing House aftercare program and the broader community. 7. Goal of the Position:  Ensure that all individuals associated with the Healing House receive the guidance, support, and resources necessary to thrive in their communities. Create and maintain a safe, welcoming space at the Community Outreach Center for those in need. Job Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Experience working with diverse populations, especially those impacted by substance use disorder, mental health challenges, or homelessness. * Basic knowledge of community resources and social services. * CPS or MRSS Certification or must be enrolled to obtain credentials  Skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Service-oriented with the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities. * Proactive mindset with the ability to execute tasks efficiently. * Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. * Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering results. * Strategic thinker with the ability to connect organizational objectives with industry trends. * Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. * Deadline-driven with the initiative to take ownership of projects Physical Demands * Physical Stamina: The role may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and being actively engaged with clients and employees during work and employee interactions. * Lifting and Carrying: There may be occasional requirements to lift or carry lightweight equipment or materials, such as tools or paperwork. * Manual Dexterity: The position may involve tasks that require the use of hands and fingers, such as typing, writing, and handling materials. * Visual and Auditory Acuity: They may need to closely observe clients and accurately interpret verbal and non-verbal cues during calls or interviews * Mobility: The role may involve the ability to move freely within the facility to conduct interviews, attend meetings, and other office duties.
