PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING JOB DESCRIPTION:
Manage community affairs and client engagement activities in the region. Responsible for coordinating local grants through Truist Foundation and Truist Charitable Fund, meeting with community groups to explore and connect sources of funding and drive collective impact between regional teams, CDM and Foundation, and coordinating sponsorship/event activity to drive business growth.

2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Meet regularly with community groups/non-profits to explore and connect to sources of funding as well as form forward view of upcoming capital campaigns.
2. Review grant applications, recommend, prepare for, and lead grant recommendation process for local allocation of Truist Foundation and Truist Charitable Fund. Coordinate notification of approved grants to grantees 3x/year. Partner with Truist Foundation on larger strategic grants in the region.
3. Represent Truist in the community at events, tours, ribbon cuttings, and grand openings.
4. Maintain good records of community group meeting notes and next steps, philanthropy pipeline, grant decisions, and serve as point of contact for community groups on administrative items, questions, and collection of impact reports.
5. Track impact and share semi-annually with region via Town Halls or other appropriate meetings. Collect and share with Marketing and Corporate Communications to help tell impact externally.
6. Track region non-profit board service and help connect teammates to board opportunities to increase our presence, strengthen engagement, and impact in the community.
7. Coordinate upcoming sponsorships/events and hosts/participants. Track sponsorship budget performance.
8. Lead monthly Community Affairs update meeting with region leaders, Community Development Manager “CDM”/CRA, Truist Foundation, Truist Charitable Fund, Marketing and Corporate Communications to increase coordination and communication for greater impact.
9. Work with the region CDM to help identify qualified volunteer teammate opportunities via grantees.
10. Provide local support to Regional President as needed.
