Join our team as a Full-Time Community Aide II! UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is hiring a Community Aide II to work primarily at our Mount Oliver Family Care Connection site, but will assist with providing transports to various neighborhoods in Allegheny County. This position will work primary Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with occasional evening and weekend shifts required. The Community Aide II is an entry level position responsible for assisting with the assessment, education and rehabilitation of consumers participating in the program. Primary Responsibilities: Providing a welcoming atmosphere in the centers. Responsible for linking walk-in families to services in the community and in center and are the first point of contact when families walk into the center. Answer phone calls and direct to the appropriate staff member and provide receptionist duties when in the center. Responsible for intake of walk-in families. Monitor the use of the center computer for families to use. Assist group facilitators in the parent, child only, and parent‑child interaction groups in any capacity, i.e. helping with appropriate child, setting up room, buying group supplies. Assist with filing management information papers. Transport families and children to programming, well baby visits, mental health sessions in accordance with the State safety regulations. Maintain and get van cleaned. Complete all monthly van log information in a timely manner. Attend all staff meetings. Performs in accordance with system‑wide competencies/behaviors. Performs other duties as assigned. High school diploma or GED required. Prior human services experience preferred. May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medications are stored or may transport medications when transporting patients. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
