This role sits in a team that interacts closely with and coordinates inputs from a range of internal stakeholders, including ESG & Sustainability and Legal.

Description

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with landholders, project neighbours, community groups and project stakeholders throughout the development of the project.
  • Manage community engagement, stakeholder management and complaints for development projects and the broader business.
  • Secure and maintain land tenure for all Iberdrola development assets and projects, from early engagement, through to construction handover.
  • Manage Iberdrola’s land portfolio across development projects and provide input to matters relating to land access, assessment, and tenure across the business. Community Engagement

Responsibilities
Key Activities and results areas are:

Community Engagement

  • Develop, manage and co-ordinate the delivery of community engagement events and programs, including the management of internal and external relationships to support projects in development.
  • Plan, develop and implementation community and stakeholder engagement plans.

Stakeholder Management

  • Manage complaints and ensure regulatory compliance with internal and external complaints handling guidelines.
  • Establish, administer, and maintain auditable stakeholder complaints and land databases, and manage notification of agreement expirations, extensions, and renewals. · Coordinate required content and participate in internal and external audits of complaints management system. · Provide support to the development team where required and particularly where related stakeholder matters arise

Education

  • Bachelor / Master of Commerce, Engineering, Science, Planning, Law, Property and Social Science will all be considered.
  • Knowledge of project management, NSW planning approval process, major infrastructure projects, the Australian energy market

Experience

  • Driven individual with minimum 4 years’ professional experience in resources, energy or consulting (preferably wind, solar or BESS), planning and working with multidisciplinary teams

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

  • Demonstrated landholder and stakeholder liaison
  • Experience with land agreements
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills
  • Efficient and effective project management
  • Ability to work unsupervised and thrive within a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated use of initiative and a common-sense approach
  • Negotiation skills
  • Successful development and management of relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders
  • Successful coordination of internal team inputs through the development phases
  • Effective resolution of project development issues
