The Care Company is looking for a motivated and reliable Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) to join our community-based rehabilitation team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping clients remain safe, mobile, and independent in their own homes. You will work under the supervision and direction of a Registered Physiotherapist and support clients across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Key Responsibilities: Implement physiotherapy treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a Registered Physiotherapist Support clients with exercises, mobility training, strengthening programs, gait training, balance retraining, and functional mobility tasks Reinforce home exercise programs and ensure clients perform exercises safely and correctly Monitor and document client progress, observations, and responses to treatment (with PT review and oversight) Assist with transfer training, safe lifting techniques, and mobility aid usage Provide caregiver education and support for PT-directed care strategies Assist with basic equipment setup, environmental safety recommendations, and home visit follow-up tasks Maintain appropriate communication with supervising PT, office staff, and interdisciplinary team members Travel to client homes across the GTA and maintain flexibility as caseload changes Scheduling Requirements: Flexible part-time schedule (Monday–Friday) Occasional Saturday/Sunday availability based on client needs Must be able to complete an initial in-person home assessment within 24 hours of receiving a visit request Clients are located across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, including but not limited to: Downtown Toronto, Midtown, East/West Toronto North York, Richmond Hill, Markham Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Woodbridge Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Bowmanville and select areas of Durham region Ability to independently manage scheduling, respond promptly to referrals, and coordinate visit times directly with clients Travel may be required between client homes Qualification and Experience Requirements: Completion of a recognized Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) diploma program from an accredited Canadian college Previous experience in home and community care is strongly preferred Strong communication skills and comfort working independently in varied home environments Ability to follow PT treatment plans accurately and safely Reliable transportation and willingness to travel across the GTA Physically capable of supporting clients during mobility, transfer, and exercise-based interventions CPR/First Aid, vulnerable sector check, and immunization compliance may be required Compensation: $30-35/hour Other Benefits: Flexible scheduling that can be adapted to your availability Opportunity to build a caseload in your preferred regions of the GTA Supportive rehabilitation team with strong PT leadership Meaningful work in a community setting where you directly impact client mobility, safety, and independence Administrative support for scheduling, documentation coordination, and client communication Opportunities for professional growth as our rehab programs expand PPE provided Employee Recognition Program Health and Wellness Program Staff & service provider events Opportunity for Group Health and Dental Benefits #OTPT
