QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Preferred: Bachelor of Science, with experience working with the senior population
Minimum: Associate degree or High School Diploma

RELEVANT EDUCATION:

Preferred: Associate’s Degree
Minimum: High School

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Preferred: 2-4 years
Minimum: 1-2 years

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION ARE DETAILED BELOW, AND INCLUDE ANY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS BELOW THAT.

1. Answer phone, take accurate messages, check emails, and provide timely response.
2. Review resident forms, file documents and organize resident files.
3. Assist with program planning, events, activities, educational presentations, and create fliers and sign-up sheets for activities, presentations, events, etc.
4. Assists in publication of monthly building calendar and newsletter.
5. Assists with the US government food commodities distribution and paperwork.
6. Accurately enter resident data into AASC online (American Association of Service Coordinators).
7. Work cooperatively and collaboratively with the Service Coordination team, the Senior Services staff, and the Housing staff and take direction appropriately.
8. Relays information daily with the Service Coordinator about their interactions with the residents and the residents’ request for social services.
