What You’ll Do:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for.
- Provide patient care and support in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or during home visits, creating a safe and nurturing environment.
- Engage in meaningful conversations and activities that promote mental well-being and companionship, bringing joy to their day.
- Administer medication as prescribed while ensuring proper documentation, showing your attention to detail and care.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences, helping clients enjoy their meals.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social outings, ensuring they stay connected to their community.
- Support clients with behavior management techniques when necessary, always with compassion and understanding.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment, contributing to their overall comfort.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with specific needs, such as hospice care or heavy lifting assistance.
- Keep accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate professionals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in caregiving or community support roles is preferred, especially in senior care, Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, or hospice care settings.
- A background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to build warm relationships with clients and their families.
- A compassionate heart and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- The ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting when needed.
- First aid certification is desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- A valid driving license is essential for transporting clients as needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, is appreciated.
