OVERVIEW

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in the community. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting them with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a care home or nursing home setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures and medication administration is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage case files and implement care plans effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Must drive and have their own car

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor residents for any side effects or changes in condition.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
  • Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all aspects of patient care are addressed.
  • Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Support residents with dementia care by using appropriate communication techniques and activities that stimulate cognitive function.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in health status to nursing staff or case management.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment for all residents.
