Your Role as a Community Connect Worker – Eagleby Community The Eagleby Community Connect Worker works with individuals, families and members of the Eagleby community by providing them with information, support and referrals in response to their presenting needs. You will support those most at risk within the community by: Supporting and assisting community members to access information, support and referral options in response to their presenting needs. Developing effective activities to engage and build community capacity. Providing brokerage assistance to assist community members to access services and supports. Providing a warm and welcoming environment to the community that is inclusive and respectful. Working with families to support their participation in the program through meeting their needs, building their personal capacity and supporting effective forward planning. Completing administrative tasks for the role including but not limited to report writing, data collection and workplace health and safety practices. This is a part-time opportunity consisting of 32 hours per week. Ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals and groups. Understanding of community development principles and frameworks. Ability to work within program budgets, complete data collection and report writing for funding bodies. Effective time management skills, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
