Salary: $85,000 / year Schedule: Sun 7am-11pm, Thu-Sat 7am-3pm The Registered Nurse will assume overall responsibility for nursing and medical area of the Youth Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) Program. The Youth Community Crisis Stabilization program is designed to meet the needs of individuals ages 13-18 who have behavioral health symptoms that require 24-hour per day care in an unlocked treatment setting. The Registered Nurse will oversee nursing and medication administration services, provide health promotion training and access to medical care for individuals receiving services. The Registered Nursing will work to support each individual's treatment goals using rehabilitation values, principles and techniques, including skills training to help individuals overcome barriers to living independently. The Registered Nurse will provide leadership to assist the program to meet high quality standards and provide value to individuals in a community care system and liaison with multi-disciplinary collaborative providers as needed. Responsibilities include: * Oversees the filling of the prescriber's orders, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs. * Works with the YCCS Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in ensuring an environment that promotes safety, recovery, and treatment. * Supervises all YCCS LPN staff working at the YCCS. * Oversees and ensure coordinated medical care for all individuals. * Contributes to/or provides comprehensive assessment, brief crisis counseling, crisis prevention planning, and provide psycho-education. * Assists the program clinician with discharge planning. * Leads or assists with treatment team meetings. * Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Valid Registered Nurse credentials in Massachusetts required * Three to five years supervised practical experience preferred, including internships, in a clinical or rehabilitation setting with persons with psychiatric conditions. * Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; Associates degree in Nursing required. * Experience working with people with psychiatric disability and medical illnesses and other co-occurring disorders preferred. Preference given to bi-lingual/bi-cultural applicants and applicants with lived experience of psychiatric conditions. * Valid United States driver's license required at the point of hire. * Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients. * Must be able to successfully pass a multi-state CORI, SORI, reference check, employment verification, education verification, driving record check and credentialing check.
