CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Tertiary qualifications and/ or diverse skills, practice and expertise in the visual arts and/or music field, demonstrated understanding of and expertise in Community Cultural Development.
  • Ability to relate to and engage with young people who have or are experiencing mental health and other interpersonal challenges to participate in community and social activities.
  • Proven ability to guide and assist young people to engage in arts and cultural activities and to support their learning, the development of their (artistic) skills, and to support them to realise their artistic aspirations and visions.
  • Experience in producing, managing and delivering projects, exhibitions and performances.
  • Ability to actively support young people to seek out and engage with internal and external support services.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a person with skills and expertise in Community Cultural Development for a part-time role to develop and deliver arts programs that build connections for participants with complex needs and expand their creative opportunities.
This role will work collaboratively with Jesuit Social Services’ program staff to engage young people from across programs and other groups who are marginalised. This will also support the program Coordinator to market, review and report on the program achievements.
