In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Lead Dietitian and team members to provide excellent dietary services across various settings, including patients’ homes, community hospitals, care homes, and clinics. You’ll have the chance to work with a diverse range of conditions, from nutrition support to managing coeliac disease, gastroenterology issues, weight management, diabetes, and more.

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

As a key member of our team, you’ll be responsible for providing excellent dietetic services to community patients, their families, and carers throughout the Surrey Downs Health and Care locality. Your main duties will include:

  • Delivering comprehensive and high-quality dietetic services in line with professional standards and clinical governance requirements, collaborating closely with all members of the dietetic department.
  • Effectively managing your workload and time to ensure you meet deadlines, ensuring efficient and timely service delivery.
  • Making informed recommendations to General Practitioners (GPs) regarding the appropriate prescribing of oral nutrition supplements and enteral feeds, adhering to local policies and guidance on prescribing practices.
  • Supporting the implementation of National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and National Service Framework (NSF) guidance, as well as local care pathways to enhance patient care outcomes.
  • Providing supervision and guidance to student Dietitians during their placements, fostering their professional development and growth within the field.
