EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s degree in communications, arts administration, business administration, or a related field, or at least 2 years of professional experience in office administration, communications, or event support.
  • Experience with social media scheduling, website content updates, and email marketing platforms.
  • Prior experience in an arts, nonprofit, or community-based organization preferred.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for public-facing and internal communications.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in both administrative and communications work.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and comfort learning new platforms such as website content management systems, social media scheduling tools, and email marketing software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with artists, community partners, vendors, and the public.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and event schedules.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Visual ability sufficient to read and complete written correspondence, reports, and computer-based information.
- Frequent use of hands to operate a computer, handle printed materials, and prepare event or gallery displays.
- Regular standing, walking, sitting, and reaching; occasional bending, lifting, or carrying of materials.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds for event or gallery setup.
- Ability to travel locally for meetings and events.
