Description

ABOUT US

The Women’s Centre Cornwall has grown from its early roots as a Rape Crisis Centre into an innovative, award-winning feminist organisation which provides a wide range of services for women and girls in our communities. Our work with survivors of sexual and domestic violence is our core specialism as we believe that there can be no real gender equality without a complete cessation of violence against women. In addition, we provide community-based activities across Cornwall and support women ex-offenders across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and HMP Eastwood Park in Gloucestershire.

Responsibilities

As a dynamic and creative organisation which regularly flexes operations to best meet the needs of survivors of sexual and domestic abuse, this role will strengthen and sharpen TWCC’s approach to project management. The postholder will be an experienced project manager who is equally comfortable working alongside management colleagues to support them with more streamlined and robust approaches, and leading projects themselves. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the postholder will support with the ongoing development of the organisation.
The Community Engagement and Inclusion Manager will play a vital role in leading and shaping TWCC’s efforts to create an inclusive, equitable, and accessible environment for all women. This role focuses on the delivery and development of our Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) action plan, working with diverse communities, and ensuring that our outreach efforts are far-reaching and impactful. The postholder will work closely with colleagues to implement and further the work of the International Women’s Group and DIVAS Project (a group of women with Learning Disabilities, Neurodiversity and Autism who fight to be treated fairly and with respect), as well as lead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing community engagement and outreach for women in contact with the criminal justice system.
