ABOUT NABORS:

NABORS is an organization of people who want the world to be a place where all people thrive in an inclusive community. We are dedicated to supporting people with physical and developmental disabilities (“supported members”) to have rich and full lives in community and have control over their lives.
NABORS circles of support are made up of our friends and families who freely give their time to assist us to make informed decisions, act on choices, manage our paid supports and feel safe. Members are supported to live in the homes of their choice and be fully included in the community.

SPECIFIC SKILL SETS OR REQUIREMENTS

• Female staff only.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience working with individuals with Autism and special needs who may have varying behavioural challenges.
• Proven ability to remain calm, patient, and effective in redirecting behaviours.
• Knowledge of behavioural strategies and mood management techniques.
• Experience in community integration and daily living support.
• Honest, reliable, and committed to maintaining consistent communication with the family.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be proactive, energetic, and comfortable leading activities both in the home and in the community.
• Ability to engage in motivational redirection when required.
• Comfortable assisting with light meal preparation.
• Must be reliable, punctual, honest, and committed to consistent scheduling
