Description

PERSON REQUIREMENTS

A third level degree in communications, business/marketing, liberal arts or another humanities subject is essential.
Minimum of two years’ fundraising experience in the charity sector.
Full driving license with use of a car is desirable.
Experience of fundraising in local communities is desirable.

SKILLS

  • Excellent relationship management, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels (internal and external).
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, motivate, and negotiate to achieved successful outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including content creation for various communications channels.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Experience of volunteer management or track record of working successfully with volunteer groups.
  • Experience or strong understanding of sales/marketing strategies.
  • Proven track record of successful event management.
  • Understanding of digital fundraising events and strategies.
  • Advanced MS Office Skills – including Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills, in addition to experience using a CRM system, ideally Salesforce.
  • Strong budget management and record keeping skills.
  • Proficient in the use of graphic design packages to create impactful and engaging marketing assets, e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite
  • Collaborative, solution focused, and relationship building approach to working with colleagues within own and other departments and externally.
