  • Community Engagement Officer F/T (12 month fixed term / secondment
  • Occasional weekend and evening working required.
  • Epping Forest District Council is seeking to employ an experienced, flexible and motivated community engagement practitioner with excellent inter-personal and organisational skills for a 12 month fixed term / secondment period.
  • We are looking for a friendly and approachable person with the ability to build positive relationships and work in partnership with a range of stakeholders.
  • The successful candidate will be part of the Council innovative, multi-disciplined Community, Development and Wellbeing Team. Working closely with the Senior Community Engagement Officer, you will support the development and lead the delivery of a range of sustainable, engaging programmes, projects and initiatives in order to improve health and wellbeing, reduce loneliness and isolation and enhance quality of life. Experience of place-based work and good local knowledge is desired. The role will have a focus of delivery in the Waltham Abbey area of the district.
  • Playing an active role in growing the Council successful Community Champions initiative, you will have experience of working with volunteers and building community capacity.
  • Experience of fundraising is also desirable.
