About Us
Galambila Aboriginal Health Service, Bullinah Aboriginal Health Service Limited and Awabakal Aboriginal Health Service are partnering to deliver Tackling Indigenous Smoking activities for the Aboriginal communities along the central, mid, and north coasts of NSW.
Galambila serves the Aboriginal communities of Coffs Harbour, Urunga, Bellingen, Woolgoolga and provides outreach services at Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre. We also collaborate in service delivery across in the broader region with other communities.
Tackling Indigenous Smoking Program staff will be employed across the three partner organisations, working together collaboratively across the region. The program will deliver a variety of community focussed activities supporting communities with engagement and education, smoking impacts in the home and workplace, and targeting vulnerable groups, to bring reduce smoking prevalence and impact on rates of chronic disease for the continuing improvements for the life expectancy.
About the roles
Two roles will located in Coffs Harbour. These roles will be undertaking health promotion activities focusing on smoking and vaping across Aboriginal communities from the Central Coast to Tweed Heads.
You will have the opportunity to work directly with communities and promote the benefits of intervention strategies related to smoking and vaping behaviours. You will have the opportunity to work with organisations to implement Smoke and Vape Free workplace policies and practices.
You will be supporting the regional team to deliver programs and activities across the region with a focus on being able to visit under resourced and underserviced communities. You will adapt your messaging and materials based on differences in community priorities and focus areas.

Benefits and Perks
A competitive salary package between $58,000 and $83,000 and the ability to salary sacrifice up to $31,177 as a PBI organisation.
Two roles will be filled in Coffs Harbour. Additional benefits include:
