ABOUT US
United Way Peterborough & District (UWP) is proud to be the largest non-governmental funder of social services in our region. For nearly 85 years, generous donors have helped us build a stronger, more inclusive community.
As we evolve to meet changing community needs, we’re transforming how we engage, collaborate, and invest—deepening relationships, strengthening partnerships, and amplifying collective impact.
This role will support the Director of Community Impact and the rollout of our Community Impact Funding Model, including the Agency Capacity Fund, Priority Issues Fund, and Research & Advocacy Initiatives. It will also play a key role in coordinating the Point-In-Time Count and Housing & Homelessness Symposium—two important efforts to better understand and address homelessness in our region.
Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of local charities to address poverty and social exclusion by:
· Fostering collaboration
· Breaking down systemic barriers
· Creating opportunities for everyone to thrive
If you’re passionate about community development, skilled in project coordination, and ready to make a difference, we invite you to apply and help build a more equitable and resilient Peterborough.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· Proficiency in Excel, with experience in data analysis, formatting, and reporting.
· Demonstrated experience in project coordination, ideally within community-based or nonprofit settings.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities.
As the Community Engagement Project Coordinator, you will report to the Director of Community Impact. You will play a central role in supporting the rollout and administration of United Way Peterborough’s Community Impact Funding Model, including the Agency Capacity Fund, Priority Issues Fund, Research & Advocacy Fund, and key community initiatives such as the Point-In-Time Count and Housing & Homelessness Symposium.
