As we continue to expand our presence in communities worldwide, we are seeking a dynamic Community and Events Manager to develop vibrant, cohesive in-app and offline communities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree above
  • 2+ years in event, communities or marketing related experiences
  • Self-starter, adaptable to frequent change and eager to take ownership
  • Natural problem solver and ready to think creatively about big challenges and present actionable solutions.
  • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and process standardization
  • Clear and concise communicator with the ability to synthesize information to highlight key insights; Effective in team cross-collaboration
  • Ability to connect and build trusting relationships with users; leveraging insights to improve business operations
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting; Ability to make data driven decisions highly preferred
  • Proficient in Excel and Google sheet

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Community and Events Manager will be responsible for creating and executing initiatives to foster strong, engaged communities within the Bigo Live app, and organize memorable offline events to bring users together. The successful candidate will collaborate with streamers, users, and other stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds to cultivate a fun, inclusive environment where users can make friends, share interests, and engage with Bigo Live’s ecosystem.
This role is part of the BIGO LIVE Family Team. “Family” refers to different groups of communities on BIGO LIVE. They aim to foster connections amongst in-app users and strengthen the community power of each group. Families participate in virtual and offline events together, creating a collective identity in-app.
He/she will also be naturally collaborative with a proven track record of working successfully across teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Building:

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage users, streamers, and influencers from diverse communities.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where people can share experiences, make friends, and participate in meaningful interactions.
  • Encourage participation and social interactions through community-driven initiatives, challenges, and events.

Event Creation and Execution:

  • Plan and host engaging in-app events (e.g., live streaming PK competitions, talent shows, themed broadcasts) to encourage participation and interaction.
  • Localize event content and community initiatives to suit diverse user demographics.
  • Organize and manage offline events in local cities to build stronger connections among users, streamers, and local influencers.
  • Collaborate with family leaders and user groups to co-host local community events that align with Bigo Live’s brand values.
  • Use community feedback and data to optimize event structures and improve overall user engagement.

Partnerships and Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with streamers, users, and key partners to design and deliver interactive events that meet community interests.
  • Act as a liaison between Bigo Live and local communities, identifying opportunities for partnerships and collaborations that align with community-building goals.
  • Support cross-departmental initiatives aimed at promoting community growth and user engagement.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
