Position Overview The Community Experience Coordinator “CEC” will be part of the Community Team at Health Union and work closely with the team to engage members of online health communities dedicated to specific health conditions, via proactively moderating the communities on Health Union’s social media profiles and websites. This unique part time role offers the opportunity to work for an organization at the forefront of the crossroads of community management and healthcare as well as the ability to expand knowledge of community and management as well as SEO. What You Do The Community Experience Coordinator is responsible for implementing Health Union's online community moderation strategy. Moderate multiple condition-specific communities, which includes participating in and listening to online conversations that are important to our community members. Ensure community moderation guidelines and standards across any related Health Union social media platforms. Review and respond to user-generated content within websites’ forums, comments, and on social media such as Facebook. Leverage existing knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to proactively create conversations and increase user engagement. Manage multiple conversations simultaneously via multiple platforms: social, blog, email, internal, etc. Demonstrate empathy, ensuring community members feel they are being heard. Facilitate members' comfort with technological components of participation. Maintain a safe and welcoming, friendly environment, including removing posts or profiles that violate policies and encouraging members to adhere to Community Rules. QualificationsWhat You Bring: Previous experience in community management, online moderation, or related fields (health education, communications, counseling, social work, sociology, psychology, or related fields) Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization practices (SEO) Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Proactive, organized, and communicate insights and recurring/big-picture issues to manager Highly accountable and adaptable as this position is completely remote and requires flexible work hours weekly. This position offers an hourly pay rate of $25.00 per hour and requires a commitment of 7 to 19 hours weekly.
