SAVE THE CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT (FOR MYANMAR NATIONAL ONLY) ROLE PROFILE        TITLE: Community Facilitator, Child Protection  TEAM/PROGRAMME:  Child Protection         LOCATION:  Rakhine Area  Number of Position: 2 GRADE: NAT 6                CONTRACT LENGTH: Fixed Term CHILD SAFEGUARDING:  the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the vetting process staff. ROLE PURPOSE: The role of the CP Community Facilitator is to provide case management services in an appropriate, timely, and systematic manner in accordance with the SOPs. The key objectives of the caseworker’s role is to support frontline workers and key community individuals in safely identifying child protection risks, to ensure girls, boys, and those children identifying as non–binary with complex needs, who have been harmed or at risk of being harmed are identified and receive case management support through following the case management process of registration assessment, action planning, direct service provision, referrals and follow up. Documentation of the different steps in the process is essential, to provide support to families to better care for and protect children and to work with other case management actors and service providers on safe referrals and management of caseload. SCOPE OF ROLE:  Reports to: Project Assistant Staff reporting to this post: Nil Budget Responsibilities: No Financial Approval Role Dimensions: No regular contact KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :  •             Work closely with community members in addressing protection cases through referral mechanisms and services provided while keeping into account community based mechanisms. •             Facilitate child protection/MHPSS capacity development program for frontline workers and key community members. •             Conduct deep context analysis of child protection risks and existing child protection practices and resources on an ongoing basis. •             Support children and their families through the case management process (six steps: identification and registration, assessment, case planning, implementation of the case plan, follow-up and review, case closure). •             Ensure quality case management services for girls, boys and those identifying as non-binary, children with complex needs, who have experienced or are at risk of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation and/or meet the eligibility criteria defined in the SOPs. •             Provide psychosocial support to children and families as part of the case management process •             Train, coach and support community members in identification and monitoring activities for Child Protection and GBV work. •             Train, coach and support community members on existence of referral pathways and related service providers. •             Follow-up on regular cases •             Receive and verify information feild from the communities. •             Ensure community mobilisation, and coordinate with the stakeholders at the assigned areas •             Develop monthly and quaterly reports on trends of Child Protection Activities and followed-up. •             Assist supervisor in supporting the technical implementations of plans to facilitate CP related information and coordinate with other agencies when needed. •             Case forms data entry and send to line manager and database focal in weekly and monthly basis •             Identify and conduct basic assessments of children/families who may need CVA/C4P. •             Assist in implementing CVA and C4P activities under the guidance of supervisor. •             Help prepare documentation for registration, verification, and follow up of cash support. •             Develop monthly and quaterly reports on trends of CP cases identified and followed-up.  •             Support supervisor and co-facilitate in capacity building trainings to CFS animators in project areas  •             To collaborate with CP project staff and community members to deliver tailored MHPSS and activities to address the psychosocial needs of children and families, providing PFA, safe recognition of child protection concern and safe referral and promote child development and well-being. •             Coaching and mentoring animators in implementing MHPSS services through mobile CFS/CFS to children and families in conflict affected or hard-to-reach areas. •             Lead in awareness raising on child mental health and wellbeing in dissemination of key mental health messages to children, their families, communities, and other stakeholders •             Assist in preparing reports on MHPSS program activities, progress, and challenges to inform project management. •             To coordinate with local authorities and community members to facilitate the smooth operation of mobile CFS activities. •             To oversee the planning and implementation of mobile CFS activities to ensure they are child-friendly and meet the needs of the affected children. •             Ensure that the mobile CFS is a safe and welcoming environment for children. •             To participate in relevant meetings and networks to stay informed about best practices and new developments in the field. •             Assist supervisor for monthly /quarterly workplan and reporting process •             Support CFS animators in activities implementation and capacity development •             Guide and support CFS animators in developing work plans and training plans  •             Any other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor   Child Safeguarding Responsibility -              Make sure that you and your supervisees (CFS animators) are aware of Child Safeguarding Policy and code of conduct and apply all the time.   BEHAVIOURS (Values in Practice)   Accountability: •             Holds self accountable for making decisions, managing resources efficiently, achieving and role modelling Save the Children values •             Holds the team and partners accountable to deliver on their responsibilities -
