  TITLE:   Community Facilitator (Nutrition), Local Only TEAM/PROGRAMME: Nutrition           LOCATION: Rakhine Number of Positions: 8 GRADE: NAT- 6              CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months   CHILD SAFEGUARDING: (select only one)   Level 3:  the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the vetting process staff.   ROLE PURPOSE: In Pauktaw Township, Rakhine State, activities related to nutrition programs (mainly the treatment and care of severe acute malnutrition and the treatment and care of moderate acute malnutrition programs) must be actively implemented with the close collaboration and participation of village communities, mother-to-mother support groups, father groups, and volunteers SCOPE OF ROLE:    Reports to: Project Assistant    Staff reporting to this post: Volunteers   Budget Responsibilities      •   No financial approval   Role Dimensions:  •             No regular contact KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY : •             Assist project assistants in forming mother-to-mother support groups and father groups in project areas. •             Help with activities that provide personal hygiene kits to children and mothers in project areas. •             Implement activities related to management of acute malnutrition (mainly treatment and care for severe acute malnutrition and moderate acute malnutrition). •             Carry out screening for acute malnutrition, distribution of blanket supplementary feeding, and supervision of community nutrition workers and mother leaders. •             Support project assistants in implementing nutrition development activities in project areas. •             Provide individual counseling and education on breastfeeding and complementary feeding for children under two years, and assist community-based nutrition workers. •             Assist supervisors in conducting demonstrations and cooking competitions in line with the seven indicators of complementary feeding. •             Support supervisors in conducting training sessions for volunteers and health workers. •             Assist in monitoring processes of nutrition program activities. •             Help with referral activities for pregnant women at risk of malnutrition and children aged 6–59 months through volunteers in project areas. •             Share and resolve challenges, problems, and lessons learned with colleagues. •             Carry out other duties as instructed by supervisors. •             Assist supervisors in coordination activities with non-authority persons and key stakeholders in project areas. •             Prepare monthly reports related to project activities. •             Contribute to capacity building of nutrition volunteers and village development committee members. •             Properly maintain records related to project activities. Education: •             Completion of middle school and high school (matriculation). •             Bachelor’s degree  Language and Work Competencies: •             Ability to manage tasks effectively: time management, meeting deadlines, and working under pressure. •             Willingness and ability to travel to project offices and perform duties in challenging work environments in accordance with travel regulations. Management: •             Strong staff management skills/experience. •             Ability to create a workplace that encourages teamwork and motivates colleagues across different locations.
