We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Health Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting health awareness and education within the community, particularly focusing on individuals with disabilities. This position requires a strong background in public health, nursing, or social work, along with excellent communication and teaching skills. As a Health Educator, you will empower individuals to make informed health choices and improve their overall well-being.

EXPERIENCE

• A background in nursing, social work, or public health is preferred.
• Experience working with people with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Proven teaching experience or public speaking skills to effectively convey health information.
• Familiarity with data collection methods and analysis related to health education initiatives.

• Develop and implement educational programs focused on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Conduct workshops and presentations on various health topics, including nutrition, addiction counseling, and public health initiatives.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage participants and facilitate behavior change.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for individuals with disabilities.
• Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of health education programs.
• Provide resources and support for individuals navigating Medicare and medical terminology.
• Serve as a liaison between community organizations and healthcare providers to enhance service delivery.
