The main purpose of this full-time contractual position is to assist the Garrett County Health Department in the mission of promoting, protecting, and improving the health of the county citizens. The position provides in-home support services to families and other non-nursing support staff through intensive nurse home visiting to pregnant women and children up to five years of age under the Healthy Families America home visiting program(s) to improve birth outcomes, strengthen families, cultivate nurturing parent child relationships, promote child health and developmental outcomes, promote family stability, build foundations for strong family functioning, and promote positive parenting practices.
