Title: Community Health Nurse – Tahltan Nursing Station
Salary: $94,724 – $114,261 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time – 37.5 hours per week, we offer 2-, 3-, and 4-week rotations
Location: Tahltan, B.C. – Nursing Station
Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada)

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Community Health Nurse, you will – provide a comprehensive range of core nursing functions and services in remote First Nations communities in program areas of community and public heath, primary care, and urgent and emergent care. This includes health promotion and disease and injury prevention for individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations.

To be successful in this role you will have/be –

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Candidate must be certified in ACLS and PALS upon hire
  • Obtain and maintain Basic Life Support Certification Level C;
  • Requires a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
  • Remote Community Health Nurse must be remote certified (RNC) with BCCNM
