JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to organize and conduct, under general supervision, community injury prevention education programs; organize and conduct older adult fall prevention education programs; assist with organizing, conducting, evaluating, and reporting outcomes for community injury prevention education programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - FOR FULL CONSIDERATION, APPLICANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO UPLOAD LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATION IF REQUIRED OF THE POSITION

  • Required to hold a valid California driver’s license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
  • Bachelor’s degree in related area, and/or equivalent experience/training
  • Experience organizing and delivering older adult community education programs or similar experience working with older adults
  • Working knowledge of delivering community educational programs
  • Good English reading, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and good presentation skills
  • Working skills to produce and deliver community education programs in English
  • Skills to organize and prioritize multiple tasks according to program needs and established deadlines
  • Skills and experience to operate computer systems and use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point software programs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using virtual communication and education platforms
  • Experience with data collection and entry
  • Working knowledge of older adult health and safety education programs content and objectives
  • Ability to maintain appropriate and professional interpersonal interactions with a variety of health care professionals
  • Strong presentation skills with public speaking experience
