As the Community Investment and Stakeholder Relations Student, you will work with teams throughout our corporate and field operations to ensure that stakeholder/business and communications deliverables are carried out successfully.

  • Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office
  • Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday – Friday)
  • Term length: 4 months

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Community Investment
  • Prepare peer comparison of community investment budgets and key donations
  • Review and make recommendations on funding opportunities that fit within Canadian Natural’s community investment strategy
  • Work with internal communications team to identify and highlight significant community investment initiatives for Canadian Natural’s social media channels
  • Lead scholarship program implementation and evaluation
  • Generate and process community investment cheque requests
  • Review and make recommendations for funding requests received electronically/mail, and provide responses
  • Manage select partnerships and commitments
  • Indigenous Business Development
  • Support the Indigenous Opportunities Program, and validation of contractor directory
  • Maintain and update database training manual
  • General
  • Updating and maintenance of communications files
  • Data entry – updating community investment and business development figures
  • Support reporting and setting up meetings
  • Generate:
  • Monthly district plan status reports using database
  • Community summary documents using database
  • Reports for Community Investment, Indigenous Business Development
  • Manage team portfolios for vacation coverage
