Winthrop specialises in providing Turnkey Data Centre Solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning. 

A Community Liaison Officer (CLO) in Vaasa acts as a vital bridge between all stakeholders and organizations—such as municipal governments, Universities, embassies—and local populations to foster integration, handle public feedback, and resolve localized conflicts.


Requirements


Primary Responsibilities 

  • Public Participation: Participate in meetings with local stakeholders, and digital
  • feedback loops to engage citizens in local decision-making, company PR and engaging with potential local talent suitable for projects including graduates and professionals.  
  • Conflict Mediation: Acting as a neutral party to resolve potential disputes regarding land use, building developments, or social integration issues.
  • Information Dissemination: Translating complex corporate or municipal policies into clear, multi-language notices for the public and for Winthrop.

Core Requirements & Skills 

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Finnish is mandatory for municipal or regional roles, and proficiency in Swedish (Finland's second official language) and English is highly valued.
  • Educational Background: A degree ideally in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Communications, or International Relations.
  • Key Soft Skills: Cross-cultural communication, proactive problem-solving, and negotiation techniques.
