For the Corporate Real Estate Management and Facility Services department, we are looking for a Community Manager in Amsterdam. The team CREFS NL The Centre of Expertise for Corporate Real Estate Management and Facility Services Netherlands (CREFS NL) is responsible for managing the real estate portfolio and related facility services for ING’s offices in the Netherlands. Within an Integrated Facility Management (IFM) structure, the execution of facility services at the operational and tactical levels is outsourced. CREFS is responsible for the vision, policy, and the determination of the strategy and objectives for the real estate and facility services portfolio. As community manager you’re the extended team member of the leads. You help them build their community and make it attractive for their teams to physically connect. In your role you will contribute to the employees’ office experience, encourage collaboration and help promote a balanced distribution of presence in the office. Together with the leads you align on annual targets, which are likely to be different per team as the community activities will be tailored to the unique needs of each team. Here’s what one of your workdays could look like: Your day revolves around connecting people and enhancing the office experience. You start the morning with a one-on-one meeting with the lead of ING Business Banking. Together, you discuss priorities and align on how to strengthen the team’s sense of community. After this conversation, you join the team meeting to facilitate a dialogue on team agreements, helping the group define clear ways of working and fostering collaboration. Around lunchtime, you take the opportunity to catch up with colleagues from Real Estate and Facility Services. These informal interactions are essential for staying connected, sharing insights, and identifying opportunities to improve the Orange Workplace Experience. In the afternoon, you meet with a Tech lead to explore their requirements for building a vibrant community. You listen to their needs, suggest activities, and agree on how you can support them in making the office an attractive and engaging place to work. Before closing the day, you join the weekly catch-up with SME Facility Services and Facility Managers. This is where you exchange updates, align on priorities, and agree on concrete actions to keep the workplace running smoothly and inspiring for everyone. Your key responsibilities As Community Manager you: Strengthen community management within the physical working environment. Organize tailor-made team days, events and informal meetings, in collaboration with leads. Consult with each lead twice a year to identify needs and provide appropriate facility support. Identify opportunities to increase connection, collaboration and engagement. Collaborate with Facility Management, HR and Communications to continuously improve the Orange Workplace Experience Report and monitor the impact on teams’ office experience and make adjustments where necessary. Your work environment You will be part of the Facility Services team within the department Corporate Real Estate management and Facilities Services ING NL. You will report hierarchically to the Head of Facilities Services for the Netherlands. Furthermore, you have/are: Current residency in the Netherlands and are fluent in both Dutch and English, enabling you to engage effectively with stakeholders. A completed HBO education in Hospitality or Facility Management. 3-5 years of experience in the hospitality or facilities sector. Knowledge of and experience with creating and working with the Employee Journey. Experience in community building, hospitality, event organization or workplace experience. Strong interpersonal skills: you connect people and know what is going on. Eager to explore new ideas and perspectives. Organizational talent: you maintain an overview and switch smoothly between teams and departments. Empathy and listening skills: you know how to translate needs into concrete actions. Creativity and initiative: you come up with innovative ideas to enhance the office experience. Affinity with hybrid working and the changing role of the office.
