Robin’s Pharmacy & Wellness Centre is a mental health site that is located in one of Vancouver’s most eclectic and culturally diverse neighborhoods. Working at Robin’s Pharmacy requires a community-minded approach to servicing patients, while always upholding a high standard of pharmacy professionalism. Our casual yet professional atmosphere reflects the nature of the patients we serve. We know most of our patients by name and provide a more traditional independent style of community pharmacy to a diverse demographic of patients. Our key focus is on mental health treatment and associated care, though we service patients with all types of healthcare needs.
We are looking for a caring and compassionate Community Mental Health Worker to provide care for mental health and addictions patients as well as the community East Vancouver. The successful candidate should be highly motivated to provide care and support for a vulnerable population that allows them to stay in their community.
The successful candidate will have a valid BC Driver’s license. You will be provided with a company vehicle to perform your responsibilities; however, in the circumstances where a personal vehicle may be required (vehicle maintenance, repairs, etc.), you will be reimbursed mileage based on CRA regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in the mental health field is ideal but not necessary
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; our team is crucial to our success
  • Valid BC class 5 driver’s license is required when using company vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Daily delivering, administration and witnessing of medications for patients around Vancouver in their own home, vehicle is provided
  • Monitoring, recording, and reporting any changes in patient mental health to the program coordinator, to prevent relapse, decompensation
  • Ability to cope with occasional difficult behaviour
  • Ability to follow a set route and visit clients in the time frame allotted
  • Ability to communicate with team members and manager effectively
