We seek a seasoned and culturally fluent Community Operations Manager (APAC) with a strong aptitude for hands-on execution. This role is ideal for a leader who not only architects strategy but also personally builds and manages the community programs that drive user loyalty.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of extensive, hands-on experience in community management, with a track record of personally building and scaling thriving communities in the APAC region.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese is required.
  • Proven, hands-on experience managing large-scale, cross-cultural community programs (e.g., super-fans, moderators).
  • A proven strategic thinker with a bias for action and hands-on work.
  • Strong hands-on analytical skills and a data-driven approach, with the ability to personally dig into data.
  • Expert, practical knowledge of country-specific social/community platforms and user behaviors in APAC.
  • Excellent self-management ability and experience leading hands-on, cross-functional projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the tech industry (AI hardware and/or software).
  • Professional proficiency in Japanese and/or Korean.
  • A strong personal or professional network within the APAC tech community.
Responsibilities
  • Develop the comprehensive APAC community strategy and lead its direct, hands-on implementation across diverse markets.
  • Be the primary hands-on operator of our APAC community channels (e.g., LINE, WeChat, KakaoTalk), personally driving daily engagement and moderation.
  • Establish KPIs and an analytics reporting system, personally analyzing data from disparate markets to shape strategy.
  • Lead the hands-on creation and execution of hyper-localized content and campaigns that resonate with diverse APAC cultures.
  • Take a hands-on role in designing and scaling a regional ambassador program tailored to the unique dynamics of APAC markets.
  • Oversee the localization of global campaigns, grounding strategy in the practical realities of hands-on execution.
  • Ensure all community operations adhere to regional data privacy regulations through direct, hands-on management.
