Description Job Purpose/Summary Plan and implement an outing program to meet both the general and the unique needs of Rakhma residents according to principles of person-centered care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate weekly community activities with Home Managers. Transport and involve residents in community outings and activities maintaining a fun and safe atmosphere for all to participate in (using Rakhma bus - only requires class D drivers license). Take pictures of community events for Director of Marketing and Development to use in external publications. Maintain vehicle mileage/fuel/maintenance and report needs to Maintenance Manager as needed. Obtain resident’s person--centered preferences to tailor activities to interests of resident. Create and implement new ideas to enhance the quality of the resident’s community activities. Salary: $20-24/hr. Hours: PT/20-28hrs weekly. Outings take place on weekdays. Requirements Desired Qualifications Reliable transportation for work purposes, a valid driver’s license, a driving record approved by our insurance company and proof of valid car insurance. 1 year successful experience in a residential program serving seniors, people with disabilities or other related models; residential memory care experience is preferred. Administrative experience with designing and maintaining schedules and scheduled activities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Skills/Abilities Compassionate heart for individuals affected by memory loss. Excellent organization and communication skills. Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team, and able to address the diverse challenges that arise in memory care and health care organizations. Understand and adhere to Minnesota’s Vulnerable Adult Laws, Resident Bill of Rights, HIPAA policies, and all Rakhma policies and procedures. Strong knowledge and application of person-centered thinking and planning. Physical Demands Sitting for long periods of time and/or work on feet for long periods of time. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping and twisting. Frequent full range of motion, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Driving Rakhma bus. Driving between residences and throughout Twin-Cities area. Working Conditions Occasionally in office setting that is part of one of our residences Frequent time spent in the community representing Rakhma as an outwardly facing advocate, as well as commuting between sites.
Responsibilities

Essential duties involve transporting residents safely to community outings, maintaining vehicle records, and tailoring activities based on resident preferences.
