Description Position Objective Responsible for the pick up and transportation of donated items and necessary supplies for the agency between multiple facility locations. Assist with basic upkeep and maintenance of agency facilities. Primary Functions Coordinate the pick-up and transportation of donated items for the Operations, Thrift Store and Marketing Teams, including moving large, heavy, and/or bulk items Assist Transitional Housing program with client move ins Ensure agency facilities are maintained in a clean and organized manner at all times, including completing basic cleaning and maintenance tasks Assist Marketing and Development team with agency events, including set up and tear downs Maintain agency storage facilities in a clean and organized manner including maintaining inventories of these units Drive company vehicles including box truck and van in a safe manner to complete assigned tasks Conduct weekly vehicle inspections for routine maintenance needs Preserve and enhance the agency’s image in the community through all interactions Participate in DCFOF staff and education meetings as requested The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by staff assigned to this position. Requirements Prerequisites High School Diploma or Equivalent 23 years of age or older Driver’s License and a clean driving record Demonstrated ability to perform routine maintenance Ability to communicate effectively while working at multiple sites Evening and weekend work may occasionally be required Preferences Experience with transporting supplies and materials to multiple locations Physical Requirements Ability to easily climb stairs Ability to lift, push, pull furniture and other items up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, kneel or walk for extended periods of time
Responsibilities
