Job Summary: The Community Outreach & Engagement Worker will promote the pharmacy’s services, build strong relationships with community members and organizations, and identify opportunities to increase customer engagement and business growth. The ideal candidate will have a clinical background (LPN or RN) or significant community outreach experience, bringing both healthcare knowledge and strong community connections to the role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • LPN or RN preferred, or minimum 5 years of experience in community outreach or related healthcare engagement roles or from facility.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet outreach goals.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to connect with diverse populations.
  • Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends for community events.
Responsibilities
  • Promote pharmacy services such as medication reviews, vaccinations, prescription delivery, and wellness programs to the local community.
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, community groups, seniors’ residences, and local businesses to generate referrals and partnerships.
  • Plan and participate in community events, health fairs, and information sessions to raise awareness of pharmacy offerings.
  • Identify new outreach opportunities to attract customers and enhance the pharmacy’s visibility.
  • Provide health education and guidance to community members on medication management, preventive care, and wellness programs.
  • Distribute marketing materials and resources strategically within the community.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, contacts, and follow-up actions.
  • Gather feedback from the community to improve services and identify unmet needs.
