Community at the Center. From classrooms and camps to civic groups and partner organizations, you’ll be the face of HSSC—sharing our mission and expanding access to humane care. Program Ownership. You’ll lead humane education, oversee pet therapy and the community pet food pantry, and continuously improve programs that directly impact lives. Collaborative Culture. We lead collaboratively, communicate intentionally, nurture ourselves, and transform continuously—because caring for animals starts with caring for people. Requirements What the Day Really Looks Like Teach & Inspire. Deliver humane education programs to children and adults, adapting content for schools, camps, civic groups, and community audiences. Build & Grow. Develop curricula, outreach materials, presentations, and reports that tell the story of HSSC’s impact. Lead with Heart. Oversee the pet therapy program and community pet food pantry, ensuring respectful, dignified, and humane service delivery. Partner & Represent. Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners—and occasionally bring approved animal ambassadors along for the lesson. Organize the Big Picture. Support outreach-related logistics, calendars, reporting, and coordination with Advancement leadership. Stay Flexible.
