JOB SUMMARY

Are you interested in helping to build financial resilience in the Stoke area? Do you have an interest in financial inclusion and helping people take control of their money. Just Credit Union are recruiting an Outreach Officer to promote and run Money Hubs in the Stoke region.

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Full training will be provided but experience of supporting vulnerable people, and families is desirable, particularly in a money related context. Experience of undertaking outreach work with a voluntary or non-profit making organisation will be helpful. Most importantly the successful applicant most align with the credit union’s values and mission.
The role is parttime, with flexible hours to a maximum of 30 per week. Salary is £ 26,269 pro rata. Full job description and person specification is available.

Responsibilities

The Outreach Officer is responsible for promoting the credit union and its services within Stoke’s communities. Building relationships with potential members and partners and facilitating access to ethical financial products and services. The role is key to driving member growth and increasing financial empowerment in the region.
The Outreach Officer will promote the credit union to a range of organisations, proactively engage with the public to explain the benefits of credit union membership and represent the credit union at community events and meetings
The Officer will also deliver payment services (loan and credit control) to members on a one-to-one basis and signpost individuals and groups to source of free impartial money related help and advice.
