Description Position: Community Outreach Specialist (Alumni & Recovery) Base Salary: $70,304 per year Performance Bonus: Up to $54,000 per year The Community Outreach Specialist plays a critical role in supporting long-term recovery by building and maintaining a strong alumni community. This position focuses on aftercare integration, ongoing engagement, event programming, and early intervention to help individuals successfully reintegrate and sustain recovery. Key Responsibilities • Meet with clients prior to discharge to integrate them into aftercare and alumni programming • Follow up with all discharging clients within 24 hours regardless of discharge type • Drive alumni engagement through consistent outreach, check-ins, and digital communication • Build and strengthen alumni relationships through mentorship, peer support, and networking • Provide 1:1 support for real-life needs including housing, employment, and life skills • Lead weekly alumni groups, workshops, and community meetings (in-person + virtual) • Plan and execute social events, outings, and alumni dinners to foster connection • Identify at-risk alumni and coordinate re-admission with clinical and admissions teams • Serve as a reliable support system during times of crisis or need • Track attendance, manage event logistics, and document all outreach and interactions Requirements Qualifications • 1–2+ years in behavioral health, recovery support, outreach, or alumni relations • Strong communication and relationship-building skills • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and events • Comfortable using apps, texting platforms, and virtual tools • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends • Commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and professional boundaries • 3+ years free from substance misuse Why This Role Matters You are a lifeline to alumni—creating connection, accountability, and support beyond treatment.
