Job Description
ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed preferred network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission line network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV) is the design and construction contractor for ACEREZ.
The Central-West Orana Transmission Project will provide new high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects to electricity consumers. The new infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2028 and will initially unlock up to 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity.

Our Central-West Orana Transmission Project is currently seeking a dedicated Community Place Manager to share their expertise within our growing Community and Stakeholder team.
In this role, you will assist with the delivery of communication and community engagement activities outlined in the project’s Communication and Engagement
Management Plan, enabling the successful delivery of a State Significant Infrastructure energy project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the key point of contact for project-related information in the Central-West Orana region and keep the community and stakeholders informed about construction activities.
  • Work closely with the Construction Team and the Environment Team onsite to effectively address community and stakeholder concerns.
  • Provide advice and support on feedback channels to ensure the community and stakeholders’ needs are heard and responded to.
  • Lead the development of project collateral such as notifications, fact sheets, media releases, brochures, newsletters, social media content and various other publications.
  • Support the leadership team with implementation of community engagement obligations and provide on-the-ground support and stakeholder insights.
  • Manage the Consultation Manager database and assist with the preparation of daily, weekly, fortnightly, and monthly reports.
  • Responds to telephone calls and written enquiries and complaints and undertake investigations of such complaints.
  • Adhere to project quality, safety, environmental and community protocols and communicate them to project team members, including suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Promote a positive safety and environmental culture.
  • Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and courses of action.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS legislative requirements.
  • Lead by example through meeting your personal KPIs whilst supporting the wider project team member(s) to meet overarching project milestones.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience in a stakeholder/communications/marketing/customer services role.
  • Experience in the utilities, energy, engineering, construction or associated industries is highly desirable.
  • Professional qualification in Social Science/Public Policy/Communications/Marketing, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to prioritise project demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet strict deadlines and follow through within a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be customer-focused, team-oriented, accountable and results-driven.
