Community Prevention Coordinator 9321 Community Health Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, with hours varying based on community and cohort needs. Occasional weekend availability required for special events About the Position The Community Prevention Coordinator assists Reid Health achieve its mission to lead our communities to well-being, one person at a time by effectively facilitating evidence-based family/community program that strengthens family and community protective factors to mitigate the likelihood of substance use among youth and young adults in Wayne County. This position requires program certification and will report to the Director of Reid Community Health and Engagement. The Community Prevention Coordinator will collaborate with community agencies to identify relevant populations (parents or caregivers to children) to participate in program cohorts. The Community Prevention Coordinator will adhere to all grant requirements at the expected level of fidelity, data gathering, and positive community engagement. Overview of Responsibilities • Facilitate evidence-based family and community programs designed to strengthen protective factors and reduce substance use risk among youth and young adults. • Complete required program certification and training to ensure compliance with evidence-based standards. • Deliver programming with a high level of fidelity to program guidelines and curriculum. • Collaborate with community agencies and partners to identify and recruit relevant populations (e.g., parents or caregivers of children) for program cohorts. • Maintain positive and professional engagement with community partners and stakeholders to promote program participation and awareness. • Collect, manage, and report program data in alignment with grant requirements and evaluation protocols in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Wayne County. • Ensure adherence to all grant conditions, including documentation and performance metrics. • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for program sessions, including securing venues and materials. • Participate in ongoing professional development and program quality assurance activities. • Travel regularly within Wayne County to facilitate programs and attend community meetings. Education & Experience Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent Education Preferred: Some college Experience Required: Experience working in the community. Knowledge of community resources and social support services are available to individuals and families.
