Description

We’re looking for a full-time Community Program Coordinator who is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and highly organized to join our Member Experience team. This fully-remote, entry-level role plays a key part in supporting both our program delivery and online community engagement, helping ensure our initiatives run smoothly and create meaningful experiences for our members.
Approximately 75% of the role will focus on Program & Event Support, reporting to the Director of Program and Event Operations. The remaining 25% will support Community Engagement, reporting to the Social Media Manager.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about building inclusive communities, enjoys working behind the scenes to make programs successful, and is excited to grow their skills in nonprofit program coordination and community management.
Key Responsibilities

Program + Event Support

  • Coordinate Program + Event Logistics: Support the planning and execution of virtual and in-person programs, ensuring smooth operations before, during, and after each event.
  • Maintain Program Visibility: Keep internal platforms and public-facing calendars updated with accurate and timely program information.
  • Support Member Experience: Manage event registration, waitlists, access permissions, and communications to ensure members have a clear and engaging program experience.
  • Manage Program Technology: Assist in setting up and managing virtual event tools and platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
  • Ensure Data Accuracy: Track participation and maintain clean, organized records in CRM and event management systems to support follow-up and reporting.
  • Contribute to Signature Events: Provide operational support for large-scale events by managing key elements such as registration, virtual environments, and attendee engagement tools.
  • Manage Member Travel: Coordinate member travel for in-person programs, including flights (in collaboration with a third-party travel partner), hotels, and ground transportation; serve as a primary point of contact for member travel questions and real-time support during travel.

Community Support & Engagement

  • Support Member Communication: Serve as a welcoming and responsive presence across member communication channels, ensuring timely, inclusive, and helpful support.
  • Foster Online Engagement: Cultivate a vibrant and supportive community by sparking conversations, encouraging peer-to-peer interaction, and maintaining an active presence in key digital spaces.
  • Triage and Escalate Needs: Address member questions directly when possible and route more complex issues to the appropriate team members for resolution.
  • Strengthen Community Systems: Assist the team in identifying recurring member needs and contribute to the development of scalable solutions, such as additional templates, FAQs, or enhanced communication workflows.
  • Uphold RTC Community Standards: Ensure all interactions reflect RTC’s tone, values, and commitment to creating an inclusive and empowering member experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong preference for candidates who also bring relevant experience through internships, volunteer work, campus leadership, or community-based roles that demonstrate a commitment to building and supporting inclusive communities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Clear and engaging communicator, both written and verbal, with a friendly and service-oriented approach.
  • Interest in fostering inclusive online communities and delivering positive, people-centered member experiences.
  • Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Canva, and project management systems like Notion or Asana.
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM/event tools is a plus, but not required.
  • Thrives in a remote, collaborative environment, with the ability to manage responsibilities independently.
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset, curiosity, and openness to learning in a fast-evolving work environment.
  • Preferred Location: This remote role is open to U.S.-based candidates, but we prefer someone in the Eastern Time Zone to allow for better overlap with our U.K. and West Coast teams.
