REGISTERED NURSES REQUIRED

Walfinch Norwich are recruiting RGN’s to support a 24 hour/7 day a week Complex Care package in Halesworth IP19.
Pay rate starting from £25.00 per hour.
The client is Paraplegic with a tracheostomy which requires 24 hour care from an RGN and a Complex HCA.
Experience is needed with Tracheostomy care however full refresher training will be provided along with any other relevant training that is needed for this specific package.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE ROLE

  • Assess clients’ health needs and develop personalised care plans.
  • Safely administer medications in line with policies and guidelines.
  • Carry out clinical procedures (e.g. wound care, blood pressure monitoring, chronic condition management).
  • Supervise and support care workers to ensure day-to-day care reflects clinical standards.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date records of all visits and clinical activity.
  • Liaise with other professionals (GPs, therapists, social services) to coordinate care.
  • Provide advice and support to clients and their families about health and condition management.
  • Ensure compliance with NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council) standards and CQC (Care Quality Commission) regulations.
  • Monitor and respond to any health concerns or changes in clients’ conditions.
  • Support the training and ongoing development of care staff.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD).
  • Experience in community nursing, domiciliary care, or a similar clinical setting.
  • Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with clients, families, and professional teams.
  • A compassionate, respectful, and person-centred approach to care.
  • Flexibility to travel between clients’ homes and work varied hours.
  • Understanding of health & safety, safeguarding adults, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Must have experience in Tracheostomy and Cough Assist and Suction, however training will be provided.
