POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Relations Director (Sales & Marketing Director) is responsible for driving occupancy and revenue growth through proactive outreach, strategic marketing, and relationship building. This role leads all sales and community engagement efforts by developing strong partnerships with referral sources, generating qualified leads, hosting tours, and ensuring exceptional experiences for prospective residents and families.
Working closely with the regional sales team, this leader will design and implement marketing strategies to achieve and surpass occupancy goals while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent experience and education will be considered.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • 3–5 years of successful relational sales experience, ideally in assisted living, independent living, hospitality, or healthcare.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with flexibility for evenings and weekends.
  • High initiative, sound judgment, and professionalism with a team-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems.
  • Passion for serving seniors and creating meaningful connections.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Create and manage the community’s annual marketing plan in partnership with the Executive Director and corporate teams.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads, including timely follow-up and response to all inquiries.
  • Conduct scheduled and walk-in tours, showcasing the community to prospective residents and families.
  • Track sales activity, lead status, and closing strategies through regular reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates in the community’s CRM system (Yardi).
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve performance goals.
  • Foster strong resident satisfaction by building relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • Apply knowledge of care regulations to guide prospects toward appropriate placement and services.
  • Represent the community at networking events, trade shows, and outreach activities.
  • Oversee promotional inventory, advertising needs, and social media presence.
  • Manage the marketing budget responsibly, providing accurate pricing and cost inputs for campaigns, events, and advertising.
